Additional Supplies & Accessories

We've put together a helpful list of accessories and supplies that our community of growers like to use with their Airgardens.

Pest net

Airgarden pest net

Although the Airgarden is far less susceptible than growing with soil, an anti pest net is ideal for protecting and covering your Airgarden plants, ensuring they're not made victim to any insects, birds, possums or other pests. It is also helpful in protection your Airgarden from extreme weather conditions like wind and hail.

Water heater

Plants love consistent, controlled growing conditions - so it's ideal to protect the water in your base reservoir from extreme conditions. If you're in a cold climate where the daily temperature is consistently below 15º celsius, installing a simple, inexpensive heater in the base, setting it to 24 degrees celsius, will keep your plants warm and thriving throughout winter.

Eco Fungicide

If you notice any issues with the health of your leaves, Eco-fungicide is a registered organic fungicide that rapidly kills external fungal growth and spores. It is effective on a broad range of plants and completely safe to use on fruits and vegetables.

Yates Organic Caterpillar Killer

If you notice yellow butterflies flying around your plants - don't be fooled by their pretty wings! They're a sign of nasty caterpillars. Yates Caterpillar Killer is a certified organic product that effectively controls caterpillars. 100% organic also means there is no withholding period (edibles can be eaten straight away) and it is safe for non-target insects (e.g. bees, ladybirds, birds, fish, mammals, pets).

Eco-Organic Oil

eco organic oil

Eco-oil is an organic insecticide that kills sap-sucking insects like aphids, mites, scale, whitefly, mealybugs, and citrus leafminer. It also attracts beneficial predatory insects (like lady beetles) to your Airgarden. Made from 100% botanical oils it is safe for use on edibles and ornamentals with no withholding period.

EC Digital Meter Pen

EC digital meter pen

The HM COM-80 is a reliable EC/TDS meter that is ideal for testing the EC / TDS / PPM levels in your Airgarden (aka the nutrient density of your water). For more information on EC levels and using an EC pen with your Airgarden click here.

Digital PH & Temperature Pen

Digital PH pen

The pH levels in your Airgarden reservoir are directly related to your plants' ability to absorb nutrients, and is crucial to monitor regularly to successfully grow. The PH-80 is a reliable and precise pH meter that is ideal for testing the pH levels in your Airgarden reservoir. Check out instructions on how to use a pH pen here.

Fake Cabbage Moths

fake cabbage moths

These fake cabbage moths help deter the real guys from setting up in your Airgarden. Because these moths are territorial they often abide by the rule of "if you're stripping these plants bare, we'll go strip some plants bare elsewhere!"

Indoor Tap Adaptor

If you live in an apartment and don't have access to an outdoor tap, this indoor tap adaptor makes it possible to hook a hose up to any indoor tap so you can easily re-fill and water your Airgarden (a large watering can also does the trick, but will just mean a few trips back and forth!).

Shade umbrella

If you are placing your Airgarden in an area that receives full sunlight for longer than 5-6 hours per day and doesn't receive any shade, it is recommended to use something to provide some protection to your plants during the hottest times of the day. Am inexpensive beach umbrella is perfect for this.

LED Grow Light for seedlings

If you're growing your own seedlings but don't have access to 6 hours of sunlight per day (e.g. Melbourne during winter), an LED Grow Light is the perfect solution. These lights allow you to grow seedlings indoors regardless of whether your home receives direct sunlight or not.
