Meet Our February Grower of the Month

Meet Our February Grower of the Month

Every month we love to celebrate our epic Airgardeners & their growing journey with their Airgarden.

For us it is truly one of the highlights of the month when we get to celebrate one of our Airgarden tribe & their growing success.

So without any further hesitation please join me in celebrating Amy Hembrow our February Grower of the Month (GOM) 🙌🌱 🥇

We Caught Up with Amy & asked her to Share her amazing growing journey with us

Amy tell us a little about yourself!

I’m Amy, I live on the Gold Coast with my husband, our two young kids, and our two dogs, Ricki & Olive. Life is busy, but I love it! My days are a mix of work, family time, and squeezing in moments for my own health and wellness. Mornings usually start with a smoothie (now packed with Airgargreens!), followed by work at my clinics, meetings, and then evenings spent with my family.

Before you got your Airgarden, how were you getting your fresh produce?

Mostly from the supermarket and occasionally farmers' markets when I had time. I had always wanted to grow my own food, but with my busy lifestyle, I never managed to keep a garden alive for long!

What challenges were you facing with getting fresh produce?

Mostly from the supermarket and occasionally farmers' markets when I had time. I had always wanted to grow my own food, but with my busy lifestyle, I never managed to keep a garden alive for long!

Was there a particular moment that made you think, ‘I need a better way to do this’?

I was frustrated with how much produce was going bad in my fridge before I could use it. I wanted a more sustainable, fresher way to have access to leafy greens and herbs without constant trips to the store. My sister got an air Garden and I saw how easy it was and how much fish produce she was getting out of it. If she could do it I knew I could.

If you hadn’t made a change, what would that have meant for you?

I’d probably be foregoing buying herbs, dealing with food waste, and feeling disappointed with the quality. Also, I wouldn’t have had the incredible experience of watching my own food grow.

What’s been the biggest game-changer for you since using the Airgarden?

The taste and convenience! Full of flavour, nothing like what you get from a store. Plus, I love being able to pick what I need as I go.

How does it make you feel knowing you’re growing your own fresh food now?

It’s honestly so satisfying! There’s something really rewarding about picking food straight from your garden. It’s also given me a new appreciation for how food grows, and my kids love being involved too.

What’s your absolute favourite thing about the Airgarden?

The fact that it keeps producing! I’m still amazed at how much I get from it. My chili plants, in particular, went crazy, and I love always having fresh herbs on hand for cooking. I also find it really calming to tend to my plants.

What would you say to someone who’s thinking about getting an Airgarden but hasn’t made the leap yet?

If you love fresh produce and want a simple, low-maintenance way to grow your own food, the Airgarden is a game-changer. It’s an investment that pays for itself in savings, freshness, and joy.
