Set up

Set your airgarden where it will receive at least 4 hrs of direct sunlight each day.

Make sure its on a flat surface & if you're not using a dolly, place your airgarden on something to keep it off the ground. A yoga mat, door mate, bricks or piece of timber will work well.

Growing Seedlings

After reading through the manual that came with the seedling starter kit, transplant your seedlings into your airgarden. Next, fill the reservoir with fresh water and the 2 part nutrient solution, and your done!

Place your grow cup into one of the spots on your airgarden. Take your time, and do it one by one.

Once you’ve finished transplanting the seedlings, fill the base with water, leaving 5cm of space from the top.

Once your plants are growing in the airgarden, maintenance checks are quick and easy. in normal temperatures, it is a good habit to check the water level every 2-3 days. if your water needs a top up, refill with fresh water and only add nutrients once every 7 days. check the pH levels (5.5 - 6.5) and you are done.

Be sure to keep an eye on any leaves that are wilting or discoloured. trim any sick leaves and inspect for signs of pest damage. all of the above takes no longer than 5-10 minutes and beats kneeling and bending down in soil!

Even though your airgarden is far less susceptible to them, kale and some other leafy greens can attract cabbage moths and aphids. check the underside of the leaves and spray insects off with either certified organic pest sprays (see Growing Guides and Tips & Tricks section for a list of these) or plain water.

The best part! you will find most leafy greens will be ready to pick or harvest within 14-21 days. simply pick the leaves you wish to eat and leave the rest to grow.

Depending on the time of year and weather conditions, plants like cucumbers and tomatoes will bear small fruits around the 60 day mark. You may also choose to harvest a grow spot in full and replace it with a new seedling. just repeat the steps above.
