Small space gardens - in particular baclony gardens that grow leafy greens, fruit and veggies are very, very popular right now. The great Australian dream of owning a house has changed, and now more than 1 in 5 of us either own or rent an apartment or townhouse. According to google search data, there has been a 40% increase in global online searches over the last 12 months.

As you can see from the image above, unless you have extreme skills, actually growing meaningful amounts of food in a small space can be very challenging, and sometimes near impossible. Many body corporates and apartment buildings have stringent rules around what is acceptable.

Traditional soil gardening on a balcony or in a courtyard takes up a lot of space. Theres a fantastic segment done by Gardening Australia a few years ago with absolute legend gardener and TV presenter Indira Naidoo, check it out here

Indira grows 43 different varieties of herbs and vegetables, which is super impressive. But many of us, couldn’t duplicate what she has done. She has at least 15 pots, each very productive but keeping on top of these can pose a challenge.

Plants in pots have a tendency to be a lot more water hungry. Most small space gardening segments we’ve seen on Gardening Australia (which we all love), mention it takes at least 30 minutes per day to maintain. We guess that means 7 days per week?? Whoa, I don't think i'm alone in thinking “I definitely don’t have that much time & commitment”

So, what if there was a better way??? Hmmmmm……..

An airgarden allows you to grow 30 plants in less than 1 square metre. It has an automated water system and takes 15 minutes per week to maintain. Yep, thats right just 15 minutes.  If you are renting, airgarden is a perfect solution for you. It can be moved, disassembled and re-planted wherever you go, and you don’t need permission from your landlord!!!

It can grow 150 different herbs, fruiting plants, leafy greens and veggies - so let your imagination and the unlimited possibilities soar. If you spend $15 per week on greens and veg, thats the cost of an airgarden, so take a look around the shop and come and join us. We look forward to having you in the tribe!!!
